When immersed in spa water (once a week for 30 minutes) the Silverwand gives off a vast quantity of charged silver ions (see the millions of silver nano particles leave the wand in the magnified image).  

 

These silver ions attach to the cell wall of pathogenic bacteria and destroy the bacteria's ability to reproduce. The result is water that is bacteria-free and safe for bathing.  Your skin will no longer have the chemical smell of chlorine or the extreme drying effects of chlorine which strips the skin of moisture, so showering after a spa is no longer needed.

This Silver Ion process is a chemical free electro-physical reaction that utilizes a very low (and safe) voltage DC current which is supplied continuously to the SilverWand from a small, rechargeable, battery.

The silver ions remain active in the water for many days and it is recommended the process be repeated once a week.
